I married a guy who I met in my native Zurich in Switzerland and followed him to California. His 5-year-old dog Freya introduced me to puppy love. That was in 1994 and the rest is history. Once a dog mom always a dog mom!

Freya stayed with us to celebrate her 15th birthday when it was time to say goodbye to her. We still remember her even though it has been such a long time.

It did not take long until we met Nike. We were introduced to her at Petco in Livermore California at the tender age of 7 weeks old.

5 years later Ringo came to us. Also a rescue puppy and 12 weeks old. He was the sweetest most relaxed puppy I ever met.

By now you can tell that my life is all about my dogs. I don’t have children and all my love goes to my dogs. Sadly, I lost Nike in early November 2020. She had a long and happy life and was almost 17 years old. My Ringo left me on Valentine’s Day 2021 very unexpectedly. He was 12 1/2 years old. I hoped for another summer with him. It wasn’t meant to be and he followed his sister over the rainbow bridge. Yes, I was heartbroken over that double loss.

We only stayed for a few months without a dog until Nyx came along. It was easy to fall in love with her and she is now running the show. She makes sure I don’t have time to be an “old Lady” and keeps me fit and alert, lol.

There is, of course, more to my life but the center is dogs. I love to take care of a doggy, and honestly every aspect of it. It keeps me happy and alive. All my dogs carried me emotionally through the darkest hours of my adult life.
