I Wasn’t Ready …

I wasn’t ready to let you go!

Even though I knew you got this horrible illness.

I can’t get it through my mind because

I wasn’t ready to let you go!

I still see your loving face.

I still hear your warm voice.

ALS changed all that.

Pain and sorrow entered my world.

Will the tears ever dry?

I got told in time the soul will heal.

Yet I don’t think so because

I wasn’t ready to let you go!
